"Wellness is more that being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth.” A State of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”
The World Health Organisation.
Welcome to The Wellness Centre.
We are delighted to say that the move from Bracknell to Finchampstead is complete and the Wellness Centre is now open.
We are looking for therapists to join us there. We have a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and are looking for therapists who wish to be part of a friendly team with a passion for helping our clients achieve their optimum wellbeing.
There will be a room for hands on therapy with an electric couch, a room with a desk (suitable for nutrition, homeopathy etc) and a room with chairs for counselling, hypnotherapy etc.
So, if you are looking to start up or expand your therapy business we would love to hear from you.
The vision of The Wellness Centre is “Helping YOU to achieve YOUR optimum well-being". The Wellness Centre in Bracknell was founded by Lee Avery in April 2017 who believes that the body wants to heal itself and given the correct tools it will.
Wellness matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our well-being. In turn, our well-being directly affects our actions and emotions. It’s an ongoing circle. Therefore, it is important for everyone to achieve optimal wellness in order to subdue stress, reduce the risk of illness and ensure positive interactions.
There are eight types of wellness and here at The Wellness Centre we look to address all of them:
- Emotional Wellness – being able to accept how you are feeling and be able to cope with the challenges of life
- Environmental Wellness – is the ability to recognize your own responsibility for the quality of the air, the water and the land that surrounds us and how that affects your well-being
- Financial Wellness involves the process of learning how to successfully manage financial expenses. Financial stress is repeatedly found to be a common source of stress, anxiety and fear
- Intellectual Wellness – being able to open our mind to new ideas and experiences that can be applied to your personal decisions, group interaction and community betterment.
- Occupational Wellness is the ability to get personal fulfilment from your job or chosen career while still maintaining balance in your life
Physical Wellness is to care for your bodies through physical activity, proper nutrition, and a strong mind. - Social Wellness is connecting and relating with other people in your world. It involves building healthy, nurturing and supportive relationships as well as fostering a genuine connection with those around you.
- Spiritual Wellness is the ability to establish peace and harmony in your life
